Charlotte S. Grant: Motivational Facilitator, Writer, Poet, Consulting, Speaker, Charlotte S. Grant is a native of Jacksonville, FL. She received her BA degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles and she received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida State University. Ms. Grant is a certified teacher and currently works as a Social Worker for Hillsborough County Public Schools.

Workshops
Creative Writing Boot Camp!
Workshops can benefit writers, parents and children at all levels. Ms. Grant is one of the most charismatic facilitators in the industry. She offers the art of creative learning, in a comical yet practical style. Participants become involved in an interactive workshop in a non-threatening atmosphere. Ms. Grant is a sought after Orator, Facilitator, Comedian and Poet, presenting in states across the U.S. Specialties include Creative Writing, Storytelling and Poetry. One-day intensive workshops can have you writing the first pages of your children’s book and provide you with the tools to be an enthusiastic storyteller. Learn how to run a successful Poetry Slam and engage teens / young adults.
Cost: $800, plus travel expenses.
Lecture
Ms. Grant is available as a speaker at conferences for youth, teachers, professionals businesses, students and parents. Topics covered are usually related to Creative Expressions, Cultural Diversity, Following Your Dreams, Positive Parenting, Teen Struggles, Enhancing Self Esteem, Team Building and Conflict Resolutions. On the lighter side of life, Ms. Grant is known for her talents as a Comedian, Children Storyteller, Spoken Word poet and professional Emcee. As a Social Worker and motivational speaker, Ms. Grant would be happy to design a workshop that suits the needs of your audience
Fee: $400 plus travel expenses.
School Visits
Elementary
In this lively half-hour to hour-long session, the students and I will create ideas for a picture book and talk about characters, settings and dialogue. Session will include an interactive storytelling finale.
Middle
During a 45 to 60-minute interactive session, specifically for middle school, students will work together to, create, act-out and then write a collaborating story. Students will engage in creative writing of any genre decided by teacher and / students, from poetry to fiction or memoir.
High School
I have participated in Black on Rhymes Poetry Slams and coordinated several successful Poetry contests. During a 60 – 90 minute session, students will learn how to present and critique poetry. Student will have an opportunity to create a poem after being given random topics. Session will conclude with a High School Poetry Slam trophy winner. I’m also open to collaborative work.
Fee: $300 per hour, plus expenses
